Flight Testing in Glasgow

The Flowcopter team prepared themselves for a busy week of flight testing of our FC100 drone. Testing is due to take place inside the largest industrial unit in Scotland. This 130x50x35 metre building, normally reserved for ship building, allows us to fully demonstrate the capabilities of the Flowcopter FC100 without the destabilising effects of draught and turbulence that are experienced when flying inside a smaller building. In other words, this is as close as we can get to simulating outdoor flight. These tests represent a significant step forwards for the technology, during which a vast amount of data was collected which will enable the team to continue the assessment of the novel Flowcopter powertrain performance - including thrust, propeller speeds and power levels across the whole system.
